I used to think I wanted the perfect love story, but with you, I’ve discovered the beauty of 𝑤𝑎𝑏𝑖-𝑠𝑎𝑏𝑖.

Wabi-sabi is a Japanese concept about finding beauty in imperfection — like dried flowers, aged wood, or kintsugi: the art of taking broken pottery and filling its cracks with gold.

I see wabi-sabi in you, too. In the way your hair falls into your eyes, in the crinkle in your nose when you laugh, or the little crease in your brow when you’re lost in thought.

And it’s not just the little things. I want to stand beside you on the hard days, love you through every flaw, and cherish every messy, imperfect moment.

Because I know now that true love doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to be ours.
