My home away from home.

The Crimson White is everything to me. When I came to UA, I didn’t know what I wanted to get involved with other than The CW. My only goal when I came to the Capstone was to become the Editor-in-Chief. Not only did I get that experience, but I was lucky enough to get it twice.

Over the past four years, I have broken news, interviewed hundreds of people, edited thousands of stories and most importantly, found my passion. The Crimson White has shaped me into who I am today.

Shoutout to @ainsley.platt and @kaylamsolino for taking a chance on freshman me and teaching me how to cover a news story at this complicated university. Thanks to @2sarah2furiousss, @vicshagan and @raeleesents for being some of my first friends at the paper, and guiding me through my journey. Thank you to @carsonnlott for encouraging me to apply to be the EIC in the first place. Thanks to @moniquelfields for listening to me when I needed it most. Thanks to @jacob_ritondo and @e.e.bee for truly being my right hand people and best friends through it all. Lastly, thank you to all of the hundreds of contributors and dozens of editors that I have been so fortunate to learn from these past four years.

@thecrimsonwhite, I will forever be indebted to you.
@e.e.bee, tag! You’re it!

If you had asked me this past year what I wanted 2025 to be I would’ve given you an answer I believed to be true. 2025 instead turned to a year of growth and hardship. I believe I was given an opportunity to truly do some thinking for myself and find out what I want. Though I’m still working my way through what I want my life to shape out too I hope 2026 will bring me a new perspective on what I am to be. Thanks to everyone who was there and continue to be there from anytime this year to anytime soon.
