f5ve [ @f5ve_official ] are a five-member girl group from Tokyo, consisting of KAEDE [ @kaede_ ], SAYAKA [ @im_sayaka_official ], MIYUU [ @immiyuu_official ], RURI [ @ruri_kawamoto_official ] , and RUI [ @rui__official_ ]. The first four were previously members of Happiness and E-girls , while RUI is also part of iScream and performs as a DJ. Formerly known as SG5, the group rebranded as f5ve in 2024, introducing themselves as “inter-dimensional dream agents” embracing themes of confidence, fantasy, and female empowerment. As their official bio puts it: “f5ve are the women of every girl’s dreams.”

Their music combines J-pop, hyperpop, and Eurobeat, with visuals and choreography drawing on gyaru culture, ParaPara, anime, and video games. Their music video for “Underground” features members of Tokyo’s Kyundesu [ @kyun__desu_ ] party community. Recently, they appeared alongside The Deep [ @thedeeeep ] and Say Now [ @saynow ] on NTS’s Victory Lap [ @victorylapradio ] for live performances, with RUI also playing a DJ set.

Their 2025 debut album, SEQUENCE 01, was executive-produced by BloodPop® [ @bloodpop ], who also serves as the group’s co-creative director, helping shape their sound and visuals. A. G. Cook [ @agcook404 ] , Hudson Mohawke [ @hudmo ] , and Count Baldor [ @countbaldor ] contributed production, with Kesha [ @kesha ] featuring on “Sugar Free Venom.”

Released in November 2025, the deluxe edition, SEQUENCE 01.5, features three new songs and fifteen remixes and alternate versions. Contributors include Dorian Electra [ @dorianelectra ], umru [ @umru ], m-flo [ @mflo_official ] , and STARKIDS [ @starkidsjp ], among others, spanning hyperpop, Japanese hip-hop, and club music.
