In 1985 I was 16 and I was here at Liedernacht/City Club/the basement at the Leland Hotel, whatever you called it, it was where we went when we couldn’t go to Todd’s Sway Lounge. When I got tired of dancing I would run around the hotel which was wild and you felt transported to the 19020s. It was a favorite hangout of the Purple Gang during prohibition and later by Jimmy Hoffa. #Detroit
