Got around to doing a lot this term, though technically most of it I did during that last week of classes, so it was a crazy week 😅

Bella and I went to the Irwindale Renaissance Pleasure Faire! I made pieces for our costume! :D

I went to the Thai New Years Festival in Thai Town with my dad, did some observational sketches and had a great time.

Sunny had puppies, Honey is the little blonde boy and Olive is the little brunette girl.

I tabled at Q Con with the OutCenter club, I had so much fun with Alan, Hadeel, and Vida! Plus my comic got a lot of good feedback from the con-goers.

My childhood friend, Samantha, turned 22 and I was able to go out for her birthday. I also got to see my other childhood friend Karla, so it was a great trip out.

And now I’m spending the last bit of my break pet sitting for my cousin. Scramble and Rocco are two good pups, if not a little rowdy. Thankfully they’re letting me work on my comic and play my computer from time to time 😅

Either way, I’m doing good. Tired, but good. I should probably make a post soon about my transitioning and stuff lol, we’ll see.

title: a tale of two men

my take on the infamous story "a tale of two wolves" or -as many know it as- "which ever one you feed"

the story of the two wolves fighting within, showing the conflicts a man faces between evil and good and the choice he needs to make to settle the conflict in order to move on and improve on his journey of internal self discovery and worth
but in my version, the two wolves have been replaced with two men outside the self of my character but that ultimately desires a life with her. which opposite from the original story, shows the conflicts of an external self discovery journey.
intriguing input no? you've read my poem and you've seen my thoughts on how it shall be resolved but what about you..who do you think the girl should have chosen?

side note: in my writing process to bring this poem into existence I've done alot of research in regards of the original story and to my dismay finding that it has been westernised to the point of it being completely wronged while the media and Hollywood only pushes this false narrative further the conclusion to the legend is "which ever wolf you feed"- it is in fact much more complicated and soul-searching and I guess "less flashy" than that famous one liner of which makes complete sense if u think about it
