Meet Vidhi, VP of Central Operations and Governance at ALCOMS ⚡

Computer Science student at Algoma, researcher in quantum key distribution, and startup co-founder. She runs event planning, operations and governance for ALCOMS, which means every room, meal and schedule at ThunderHacks went through her first.

“Most of a hackathon happens before anyone shows up, from sponsors and rooms to food and shirts. Seeing all of it come together across two campuses this time is the part I’m proudest of.

My advice for the week: come for the prizes, stay for the people.”

ThunderHacks II starts this Wednesday, Oct 14.

Still pinching ourselves because honestly, this one hits right in the heart❤️

Growing up, we didn’t just watch kumar sharma, we studied every move, every expression, and basically idolized him.

Fun fact: Back in India, for our very first Kathak competition ever, we actually performed one of his pieces. So to go from dancing to his choreography as kids to having dancing on his either sides? Yeah… we completely lost our composure.

Cannot thank @puja_sanskritiarts and @dancediariescanada enough for bringing our dreams to life, we will forever be full of gratitude.

Being on that stage felt like stepping straight into a dream, one we’re pretty sure we still haven’t woken up from.
A little bit teary, endlessly grateful, and pretty sure our younger selves are somewhere hyperventilating with pride right now. ✨👭🏻

Four days. Six workshops. Twelve unforgettable hours of movement, learning, laughter and artistry. ✨

From powerful Kathak precision to vibrant Bollywood expression, Kumar Sharma shared so much more than choreography—he shared musicality, discipline, intention and the feeling behind every movement.

To every dancer who entered the studio with such openness, enthusiasm and energy: you made this experience truly special.

Thank you, Kumar Sharma, for bringing your extraordinary artistry, warmth and generosity to Mississauga. This is exactly what Dance Diaries was created for—bringing remarkable artists and passionate dancers together in one room, where inspiration becomes experience.

And today, the journey moves from the studio to the stage, as selected dancers perform alongside Kumar Sharma at Celebration Square. ❤️

Watch the highlights and tell us your favourite moment!
