I live my life dedicated to art, beauty + movement. ✨ theater has been such a powerful force in my life, and I’m so grateful to be in community with artists across our city who are putting up such incredible programming that reflect our humanity back to us, and connect us to the lineages that have carried us across time. The Sitayana (or How to Make an Exit) by the @chuangstage is so worth supporting this season. through the eyes of the Hindu Goddess Sita, the play explores love, duty, and ultimately - liberation ✨ written by the late Lavina Jadhwani, whose life, artistry + contributions to theater are being honored through a beautiful altar at the entrance of the show. a moving tribute to her legacy.🕊️ 🎭 Boston friends, add this one to your calendar! ✨October 14–31, 2026 📍 @boscenterforarts | Black Box Theatre #goddessoflove #supportlocalartists #bostontheatre

Sita's journey is taking off! Check out the behind the scenes of the rehearsal room for The Sitayana (Or How to Make an Exit) by Lavina Jadhwani! The ensemble has been working hard bringing this piece to life and we can't wait to see you at opening night on October 16! Drawing from one of the greatest epics ever told, acclaimed playwright Lavina Jadhwani (1983–2025) boldly reimagines the Ramayana through Sita's eyes — and hands her the pen. Part Sanskrit epic, part coming-of-age story, and ultimately a break-up play, The Sitayana is a vibrant, witty exploration of love, duty, liberation, and the courage to know when — and how — to make an exit. With movement devised by the ensemble, the production holds that Sita was never one woman: she is all of us. 📜 The Sitayana (Or "How to Make an Exit") 📅 October 14–31, 2026 📍 Boston Center for the Arts, Black Box Theatre 🎟️ Tickets are Pay-As-You-Are — because access matters. Produced as part of CHUANG Stage's LaunchPad residency at @boscenterforarts Ticket link in bio! #TheSitayana #CHUANGStage #AsianAmericanTheatre #BostonTheatre #BostonArts #Ramayana #SouthAsianTheatre #NewPlay #DevisedTheatre #BostonCenterForTheArts #PayAsYouAre #BostonEvents
