Wow Taylor Liam Jackson. How cool to see a band fill the Quarry Stage in the first slot of the day! Introduced by Dean Jackson BBC introducing too. One to watch for sure. Coming to Chesterfield’s Hasland Club soon as well….

THTC released our ‘Trees Are Good’ hemp t-shirt around 10 years ago.

The slogan was inspired by The Shamen’s 1992 rave hit ‘Ebeneezer Goode‘.

We contacted Mr. C, The Shamen’s frontman, and sent him one of our tees, and we’ve just found this video pop up on the Instagram account @view_from_the_pit (thanks for posting!)

The song was banned by the BBC and censured by the Broadcasting Standards Council in 1992 because its lyrics were a thinly veiled endorsement of ecstasy.

The song became a massive hit and spent four weeks at Number 1 on the UK singles chart.

The Shamen ultimately made history by deleting the single while it was still sitting at the top spot, as its unexpected success was messing up their planned release schedule.

We realise this clip is just a sound check, but it’s great to see the t-shirt being worn by such a legend of rave culture.

This time last week, we were baking in the sun at @beardedtheoryfestival

It’s probably fair to say this year’s event was another winner on every level that sets the benchmark for every other UK festival not just in terms of its line up, but also the vibe and sense of community that’s as far removed from every corporate event as you can imagine

As with previous years the line-up was off the scale so here’s some words for @undertheradarmag starring the following…

@thehorrors
@thetwilightsad
@cmatbaby
@bloodwormband
@pixiesofficial
@garbage
@sprintsmusic
@thewildhearts
@_nightingales
@officialskunkanansie Anansie
@pwei_official
@la_securite_avant_tout

…and many more!
