ZOE’S 50TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS – PART ONE So… I turned 50! To celebrate, I hired a nightclub and hosted my own daytime disco called “Bed By 10”, inspired by one of the original Bed By 10 events I’d been to. Now that I’m 50 (and so are lots of my friends!), I thought an early finish would be appreciated… although I think most of us could have carried on! The dress code was simple… ONE THING – SEQUINS! And wow, did everyone deliver. The room was full of sparkle and it looked absolutely incredible. Held at Capone’s Nightclub in Hadleigh, Essex, it was honestly one of the best nights of my life. We had disco ball head dancers entertaining everyone, a fabulous magazine cover photo booth with a silver sequin wall and balloons, and over 100 of my favourite people all under one roof. All we needed was a dancefloor, great music and amazing company… the rest is history. A huge thank you to every single one of my friends and family who came along, celebrated with me, spoiled me with the most thoughtful cards and gifts, and made my 50th birthday so incredibly special. I feel very lucky, very loved and very grateful. This is just Part One… there’s plenty more to come! Just be your amazing self. Each student got to learn all the tips and tricks of pro makeup artists and had the most amazing shopping event after with all the Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Artists on hand to give advice and left with the most beautiful CT goodie bag. @aperturebeautyproduction supported with full production, from model casting and booking to on-site studio photography & videography, capturing the whole event. My model @bobohareide was an absolute dream to work with not only beautiful skin and features, but also a very calming presence and she looked incredible.. On Friday early evening, I have a little pop-up arranged for my Norwegian clients. As the weather is gorge and my godson’s beautiful girlfriend Barbara @barbara.decarvalho was game for a little impromptu shoot, we quickly put a few selected pieces together and shot away. This is my unlined, double faced royal blue silk duchesse overcoat worn as a coatdress - here cinched in with a wide chocolate brown suede belt and pushed up, casually draped sleeves and strappy sandals from an old collection of mine. Spent the afternoon at the @tate Modern last Sunday with my best friend from Paris @jorgen.simonsenparis We were blown away by this exhibition - an absolute must go and see! Through the lens of the legendary performance artist, muse and designer we see the emergence and impact of a small but mighty subculture that left an impression on the UK culture landscape, still in evidence today 💙💜

In this snapshot by photographer Brendan Beirne you see Leigh Bowery and Boy George backstage at the Albery Theatre during the Blitz fashion show in 1986. I have actually seen this shot previously, but it was a full-circle moment for my dear friend Elise and l, as we, years ago went to see “Taboo” the musical together. It featured none other than Boy George himself in the lead as… Leigh Bowery. We assisted at a particularly great performance by the cast, despite being SUPER paranoid about getting “dragged into” the show, as we had a table at the very front of the stage.
