We had the privilege of attending the O | Arts Grant Award Ceremony gathering today and we were blown away with so much commUNITY.

Grateful for our city of Oceanside being only 1 of 24 California cities with official status as a California Cultural District by @oceansideculturaldistrict and @calartscouncil.
#this event was masterfully designed and hosted by our hard-working @oceansidelibrary staff, led by @kristinemoralez, @amlagunitas and @cjdimento, backed up by so many amazing board members who are behind the scenes - all for the love of a city that’s fully sel-expressed because as CJ said in her welcoming address: #ArtMatters. This is true on innumerable levels. Our city is fueled by its diverse commUNITY of creatives and entrepreneurs.

Congratulations to the 2026 Grant recipients and all who applied. Everyone is supported here in many ways. Please tag yourself and others you know who are a part of this huge labor of love. It’s a major undertaking and worthy investment of resources with grant funds provided by the State of California.

Enjoy live performances and hear from the 2026 O’Arts: Oceanside Art & Culture grantees as they share about their grant activities. We’ll also announce the 2027 O’Arts: Oceanside Arts & Culture Grantees live at the event. This event is free and everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there!

Today marks 7 years 💔 I miss you everyday while still somehow feeling you with me when I need help during tough times. It’s so hard not being able to talk to you or hug you anytime I want. But I also appreciate all that you gave me and everyone you impacted by showing the beauty in people and every little aspect of life to love and enjoy. I’m still learning every day and feel so blessed I had you as my mom🤍
