Friendship is not always about who has known you the longest. Sometimes, it’s about who understands the parts of you that you never learned how to explain.
Some people come into your life for a season, some for a lesson, and a few for a lifetime. The rare ones are those who stay when you’re no longer easy to understand, who celebrate you without secretly competing with you, and who can sit with your silence without making you feel like a burden.
Real friendship isn’t measured by how often you talk, how many pictures you have together, or how long you’ve known each other. It’s found in the little things—the check-ins, the honesty, the forgiveness, the prayers, the laughter, and the quiet reassurance that says, “I’m still here.”
As I grow, I’m learning that I don’t need many people. I just need genuine ones. People who feel like peace, not confusion. People whose presence doesn’t make me question my worth.
May we never be surrounded by many and still feel alone. May we find the kind of friends who make life feel a little lighter. 🤍

We're not just grateful to God, and our sponsors, but all our volunteers, and speakers that made things seamless. From the medical volunteers, to the media, to the ushers, the programs, my family, my friends, and all supporting hands. Our amazing speakers: @bukola_demon_fryer spoke on the importance of purity, and staying true to what's most important, @oyinx4christ had a vulnerable heart to heart with these girls, many carrying guilt, burdens, shame, fear were liberated, @vikky_sax @kachidaniella and @toyosiipadeola reached souls with melodious music, and many were inspired to explore their musical talents, We had health talk from my mum a renowned medical professional @osegipatricia , Mr Emmanuel brought revival, and renewal, and not forgetting our amazing team lead @kachidaniella that gave a powerful opening charge.

This was how I showed up for Runway Jazz The Timeless Return with the phenomenal Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.

Glory to God for this kind of exposure, truly needed and deeply enriching. Grateful to @saxophonehub founded by the legend @jerryomole and to @runwayjazzofficial_ led by CEO Amb. @afolabikehindeoke for creating such a masterpiece of music, culture, and fashion.

From exchanging pleasantries and having conversations to simply being in the same space with icons like wyntonmarsalis 🎺, a multi award winner with nine Grammys; the ever jovial and amazing Weedie Braimah; Made Kuti; Timi Dakolo; Yinka Davies; Prof. Wole Soyinka; Victor Ademofe; Jerry Omole; Amb. Afolabi Oke; Anjolaoluwa Oke, to mention a few — it was nothing short of mind blowing.

Great music. Timeless culture. Boundless inspiration.
I left reminded that jazz isn’t just sound, it’s soul, legacy, and divine rhythm, and there's so much more.

Green speaks of growth, grace and becoming💚. When I wore this dress, Psalm 1 came to mind: “She shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in her season.” Growth may seem slow, but it is certain.

These are the lessons I’m holding onto and sharing with someone who needs to hear:
• Never shrink yourself to fit spaces you’ve already outgrown
• Beauty is not the fabric on you, it is the spirit within you
• Every season of life asks for a new version of you, and with God’s help, you can rise to it

To every woman who has ever felt like, or been told she is too much, remember rubies never apologize for shining. Proverbs 31 already called you priceless.
