Building the art is one challenge. Months of hard labor. Solving problems. Coordinating a team. Building the art on Playa is a whole new challenge … transpiration, heavy machinery, and dealing with the weather. We got so lucky to set up ZARVAN on this incredible sunny day with no wind … and having an incredibly skilled team didn’t hurt waiter. Huge, huge thanks to all of our champions who were with us from the start and or Burning Man Art Support Team. We could not have made this magic without you!

Team ZARVAN ❤️

I just want to take a moment to thank every single one of you for your incredible hard work, dedication, heart, and commitment through this entire journey.

Through the dust, the long days and nights, the exhaustion, and every challenge we faced, you stayed next to me and next to ZARVAN. You showed up in every circumstance, and I will never forget that.

You guys know how much I love you. There are honestly no words that can fully describe my gratitude and respect for each of you.

We went out there as a team, and we came back home as champions. What we accomplished together was a huge success, and every single one of you is part of that success. ZARVAN would not be what she is without your hands, your energy, your heart, and your belief in this project.

I am so proud of us. Be proud of yourselves and of what we created together. We did something extraordinary.

ZARVAN is really starting to come together…. It’s so incredible to see the crown take form! The stained glass panels look amazing - soon they will all be placed inside the crown panels. Building large scale are is slow - and sometimes frustrating - but when it all comes together, there’s no better feeling!
