AMFI students Beaudine Sluijmers and Simone Keukelaar created an innovative concept and found the fashion company VIN Atelier.

@vinatelier.nl upcycles vintage blazers with deadstock fabrics to make fashion more sustainable.

During their third year at AMFI, Simone and Beaudine did the specialization Make&Buy, where students have to find a solution to a problem within the fashion-industry. The problem they focused on and tried to solve was, that a lot of fabric is left over during the production process and is eventually thrown away. “We want to attack this problem by buying up deadstock material. For us, this textile waste is raw material, which we use to create a new fashion collection.”

Simone and Beaudine are now fourth year students and have turned their idea into reality by founding VIN Atelier. VIN Atelier is a sustainable, innovative, and unique fashion brand, where reuse is the key. The first collection consists of vintage blazers that have been upcycled with deadstock fabrics, according to designs by Beaudine and Simone. "The concept of VIN is a combination of our fashion knowledge, our love for fashion and sustainability."
