2026 NLC | Washington DC 🇺🇸

I had the honor of being in DC from July 5-11 to attend the 2026 FCCLA National Leadership Conference.

It was so much fun reconnecting with friends, networking with members, pin trading, and exploring our nation's Capital during the year of its Semiquincentennial! In addition to serving as a Voting Delegate for my third and final time. It was also a pleasure to see how each National Officer has grown from my time on the National Officer Candidate Nominating Committee.

The days were (very) long, and the steps were (way to) many, but in the end it is all worth it! You could spend a lifetime in DC and not see everything and I am grateful to get a small glimpse into the elegance and architecture of the District.

It is so hard choosing photos to include out of over two thousand. But after many hours in Canva I have put together a glimpse of my time in DC during NLC and America's 250th Birthday!

🚀 Launch Into Leadership - JLC 2026 🌹

My third and final Texas FCCLA Officer Leadership Training was hosted June 7-12, 2026 at Camp Allen. Words cannot express how grateful I am for my third camp and the people I have met along the way. I have always looked forward to camp even with all the late night committee work, challenges, food, and drama because in the end it's part of the memories we made along the way. It's part of the people we grow close to and whom we remember the most. So as I continue on with my third and final year as an officer, and fifth and final year as a member, I challenge myself and all of you, to go above and beyond the call of duty, because in the end your hard work will pay off. Make the change you want to see in the world and inspire others to do the same.

Four years ago, I walked into my first June Leadership Camp not knowing just how much FCCLA would change my life. Looking back now, I can hardly believe how much I’ve grown not only as a leader, but as a person. Through every workshop, late-night conversations, leadership lesson, and unforgettable memory, FCCLA has helped shape me into who I am today.

This camp has always been one of my favorite places. FCCLA has given me opportunities I never could have imagined, friendships that will last a lifetime, and a family that has supported me through every step of my journey. It has taught me to lead with confidence, serve with purpose, and dream bigger than I ever thought possible.

Leaving my final June Leadership Camp is bittersweet. My heart is so full of gratitude for every memory made, every lesson learned, and every person who has been part of this journey. While I’m incredibly sad that this chapter has come to an end, I couldn’t be more excited for the amazing year ahead and all that is still to come.

And FCCLA, thank you for being so much more than an organization. Thank you for being my home.

Next stop Nationals!!!

🌹 2026 Region V Conference 🏖

From January 28-31, 2026 I attended my fourth Texas FCCLA Region V Conference in Corpus Christi at the Hilliard (formerly American Bank) Center.

Throughout my time I played an important role in helping run the conference, from unloading the state van, to setting up Competitive Signs & Rooms, helping set the stage, rehearsing lines, speaking at general sessions, and much more, I am reminded of the true impact that anyone can make on others even when we don't necessarily think about it.

I also got the honor of running for office for my third and final time and I an very honored to be selected as a State Officer once again for the second time to serve the members of Region V on the state level.

Over the past four years of Region V Conferences I would always tell myself that there is plenty of time left, years of oppurtunities left, but here I am after one year of competing and now entering my third year as an officer, and now I only have one more left. I look forward to my fifth and final Region V Conference next year "with warm courage and high hope."

As Mrs. Knox and Mrs. Rosenbaum begin their Farewell Tour with Texas FCCLA I would like to sincerely thank them both for their decades of service to our State Association!

And here's something you don't do everyday, like accidentally walking in and seeing Parker McCollumn in his room before he preformed at his concert, with Mrs. Richter.

Can't wait for the State Conference in Dallas this April, see you all then! @txfccla
