🥂🎬 #CineSoul #SacramentoBlackFilmFestival #CaliforniaFilmFoundation #SacramentoFilmFestival #FestivaldeCinedeSacramento

Part 1 Forgive my fashionable tardiness. After three weeks of healing from a broken ankle and taking a much-needed social media break, I’m finally ready to share how awesome Cine Soul was. Here it goes for my 2026 memory box. ✨ From August 21st to 23rd, I collaborated and volunteered with the California Film Foundation for Cine Soul 2026, the 21st annual Sacramento International Black Film Festival. I was especially excited about this year's selection and the opportunity to meet new performers and filmmakers. I was particularly inspired by Emmy Award winner Susheel Bibbs @mepleasant1 and her performance in the documentary Oh Freedom! and the charismatic Ericka Nicole Malone @erickanicolemalone with the documentary The Bucket Wish @bucketwishofficial. Getting to meet them, ask questions, receive their advice, and share space with people doing this work for a living was a beautiful reminder of why these events matter. We are not alone in this journey. We can learn from each other, share what we know, and help make the path a little brighter for the person coming behind us. That is the kind of community warmth worth showing up for. I’m grateful for all I got to learn that weekend, especially from the CFF team. These are the human connections that make being part of a creative community so special. Thank you Cine Soul for the memories. Until next year! 🥂🎬 #CineSoul #SacramentoBlackFilmFestival #CaliforniaFilmFoundation #SacramentoFilmFestival

A few moments from The Bucket Wish Q&A section with Ericka Nicole Malone and Vincent Dee Miles at @cinesoulforever 2026 by @californiafilmchannel August 23th, 2026. The film and her story were inspiring, but her powerful energy and presence speak for themselves. Here are a few of my favorite moments I want to keep coming back to. Thank you @erickanicolemalone l for inspiring all of us ❤️
