The Dakota Valley Post #319 Panthers American Legion Baseball Team from North Sioux City, South Dakota, made an incredible run to the South Dakota American Legion Class 'B' State Championship game this August versus home town host Madison Post #25.

This August 4th game at Flynn Field in Madison was a nailbiter and finished 2-1 in favor of Madison.

Sterling Schauff propelled the Panthers to this Championship game with a bottom of the 9th three run home run for the walk-off the day before on August 3 versus Volga Post #114. Schauff was named the State 'B' Tournament MVP. @sterlingschauff8

Congratulations to Schauff on the great award and to the Panthers on a great summer of baseball!

Vincent was awarded a Build Dakota Scholarship and will be attending Southeast Tech for Construction Management.

Through the Build Dakota scholarship, RP covers half of his tuition, and the state covers the other half - giving students a full-ride education and job security with us after graduation.

We are proud to invest in the future of South Dakota and the next generation of construction leaders. Congrats, Vincent!

The season didn’t go how I planned it to go, but I trusted god that he was doing the right thing for me. I was out with an injury for the first half, but I’m still grateful for every moment. Time to recover, work harder, and come back better than ever next year.
