Huma Bhabha, Distant Star just opened in Paris. Titled after Roberto Bolaño’s Estrella Distante (great read btw) the show introduces a new series of hooded heads on personal photographs, staring at you and at new clay and cork sculptures with a strong and almost comforting aura. Creatures from another world, coming out of the debris. Alive? Hurting? One of them is titled Vincent, after Honoré, and his presence never felt so heartwarming. Thank you Huma 🤍
