>>> dates to the right, EN below

In May 2025, @larsbecker_official filmed scenes for „Die Polizistin und die Todesstille“ (The police officer and the death’s silence) at the 25hours Hotel The Goldman. Here come the dates for streaming, the tv premiere and Lars’ return to the hotel’s Oost Bar during the Frankfurt Book Fair to promote his latest novel „Es wird Steine regnen“ (It’ll rain stones), and of course we’ll talk about the film and creating parts of it at The Goldman.

Above is the announcement photo featuring the wonderful @thelmabuabeng who plays the titular police officer Gloria Acheampong.

>>> Lars is coming back to The Goldman

The film will be available for streaming from the ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen = Second German Television) website from 12 September, 10am. The tv premiere on ZDF is set for 21 September at 8.15pm.

On 9 October, @larsbecker_official will be back at The Goldman to talk about his latest novel „Es wird Steine regnen“ (It’ll rain stones), published by @rowohltverlag , and of course we’ll also talk creating parts of „Die Polizistin und die Todesstille“ (The police officer and the death’s silence) at The Goldman and in and around Frankfurt. Admission is free, a ticket required, check the link in the bio. Sale starts on 10 September at 8pm. The event will be in German.

>>> behind the scenes part II

Parts of „Die Polizistin und die Todesstille“ (The police officer and the death’s silence) were filmed at the 25hours Hotel The Goldman. Clockwise it’s a scene taking place at the ristorante Isoletta, the next preview screen shows a set at our reception.

We usually embrace the Frankfurt sun at the 25hours Hotel The Goldman, however for a scene taking place at night, production had to make sure it stays out.
