🕯️ “Pray for day!” 🕯️
On this day in 1981, HELL NIGHT survived its initiation into horror history! 🏰💀

Directed by Tom DeSimone and produced by Irwin Yablans (Halloween), this 80s slasher classic trapped four college pledges inside the eerie, abandoned Garth Manor for one terrifying night of pledge initiation.

Featuring Linda Blair as the resourceful final girl Marti Gaines alongside Vincent Van Patten, Peter Barton, and Suki Goodwin, Hell Night perfectly blended gothic haunted mansion aesthetics with pure, suspense-driven slasher mayhem.

🩸 Quick Trivia: Almost the entire movie was shot at night at the historic Kimberly Crest House and Gardens in Redlands, California.

Gothic Slasher Hybrid: Unlike many straight-forward 80s slashers, producer Irwin Yablans specifically wanted a throwback Old Dark House feel with secret tunnels, candelabras, and atmospheric shadows.

Tough Stunts: Linda Blair performed many of her own physical scenes, including crawling through dark, dusty underground tunnels!

💬 COMMUNITY QUESTION:
Where does Hell Night rank in your favorite 80s slashers? And if you were forced to spend 12 hours inside Garth Manor for a fraternity/sorority initiation... would you survive the night? 👇👇
