Decided to try my hand at making candles🕯️I’ve really been making a conscious effort to buy thrifted items so the landfills don’t keep getting bigger. I saw this idea on Instagram from ashleyandtheapron(tagged), purchased the wicks, stickers, fragrances(vinevida)and wax online, but then bought all the candle holders from garage sales or thrift shops. The bonus is that when the candles have burned up, I can clean and reuse them again!

I cannot say enough about this Nelko laborer! It’s quick, easy, and water and oil resistant. It’s the best thing that I can do for random nothings right now. The office crash taught me a valuable lesson in making sure that all of my fragrance supplies were labeled appropriately. Now it’s gonna take me quite a while, I have near 300 separate fragrances and my master blends, but you know here at random nothings, nothing‘s gonna stop us because we can build this thing together, standing strong forever, nothing‘s gonna stop us now!

Lololol

Go grab yourself a Nelko labeler, they’re about 19 bucks on Amazon and totally worth it.

✨ Why Does My Candle Look Like This? ✨

At LeGrand Candles, we use 100% pure soy wax, free from paraffin fillers and synthetic additives. That textured, cratered, or frosted appearance you may see after burning is actually a natural characteristic of real soy wax.

🌱 The Science Behind It
When your candle is extinguished, the melted wax cools and hardens at different rates. As natural soy wax solidifies, tiny crystals form within the wax. Changes in room temperature, drafts, or even a cool glass vessel can cause these crystals to create a textured surface.

❤️‍🔥 What It Means for Your Candle
This is completely normal and purely cosmetic. It does not affect:
• Burn performance
• Scent throw
• Safety or quality

In fact, it's often a sign that your candle is made with natural soy wax rather than waxes containing additives designed to create a perfectly smooth finish.

✨ Prefer a Smoother Appearance?
A quick pass with a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat can gently remelt the top layer and allow the wax to level out again.

🔥 LeGrand Candle Care Tip
Before each burn, trim your wood wick to approximately 1/8" to 1/4" for a cleaner burn, a steadier flame, and the best overall performance.

So long story short, natural soy wax isn't always perfect looking, and that's part of its charm. Every texture tells the story of a clean-burning, naturally crafted candle 🌿🥰
