#CellarVinhos #DiaDaGrenache #Grenache #Garnacha #VamosTomarVinhos

A flight through Champagne, Burgundy and the Rhône, showing very different styles and stages of evolution. We started with Gaspard Brochet Chardonnay Les Plantes 2022, a Coteaux Champenois from Écueil with a tiny production of only 570 bottles. A precise Chardonnay with tension, pronounced minerality and texture, offering a direct interpretation of its terroir without a second fermentation. Next came Paul Pillot Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Pitangerets 2020, restrained and mineral, followed by Domaine Bertagna Vougeot 1er Cru Les Cras, moving the flight into Pinot Noir with a more earthy and structured profile. Philippe Pacalet Vosne-Romanée showed a more perfumed, spicy and delicate character before the two major highlights: Armand Rousseau Chambertin Grand Cru 2000, fully developed, deep and complex, and Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru 2017, considerably younger, floral, precise and exceptionally fine in texture. Then came Aymé Vadim Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains 2016, with only 300 bottles produced, showing the firmer and more structured side of the Côte de Nuits. Jean Fournier Corton Grand Cru 2021 followed with power, youth and plenty of fruit still present. To finish, Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réservé 2011. Grenache with remarkable aromatic delicacy, ripe red fruit, spices, herbs and very subtle floral notes. Despite its 15% alcohol, it remains balanced and fresh, with a surprisingly elegant texture. A particularly interesting flight for comparing terroirs, producers, vintages and different interpretations of some of France’s great vineyards. #Burgundy #GrandCru #CoteauxChampenois #ChateauneufduPape #FineWine

Domaine des Croix – Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Peuillets 2023 @drink_beaune David Croix’s winemaking focuses on gentle extraction, restrained oak influence and maximum site transparency. The result is a classic Pinot Noir where fruit expression remains the primary focus. The nose shows fresh cherry, raspberry, cranberry, violet, delicate spice and subtle earthy nuances. Oak plays a supporting role without overshadowing the wine’s identity. On the palate, it stands out for its vibrant acidity, exceptionally fine tannins and silky texture. Medium-bodied, it offers excellent fruit definition and remarkable tension, suggesting outstanding aging potential. Although still very young, it already displays impressive balance and precision. At this stage it emphasizes purity and freshness, while further bottle age should add greater aromatic complexity and seamless integration. A textbook expression of Savigny-lès-Beaune, where elegance, freshness and terroir expression take precedence over sheer concentration. #BurgundyWine #PinotNoir #WineReview #WineEducation #FineWine
