Well that was quite the weekend. Never thought my first personal @goodguysrodandcustom award would come for a beat up Suburban. Biggest thanks goes out to all those who helped make this happen in any way shape or form. The main man @southcityrodandcustom for literally giving up his entire first trip to the Puyallup show and seeing no part of the show except the “Engine Swap Pavilion”. Dropped the truck off in the hand of Legendary @bmfm64 for safe keeping until the road tour. Huge thanks to @chrisholstrom @chrisholstromconcepts and @wickedfabrication for lots of tooling which would have not been possible without. Major thanks to Justin and Evan @veaziebrosfab, probably wouldn’t have made it without their helping hands and certified forklift skills. @steven_bunker for allowing and encouraging this fiasco to happen. Thanks for @bigrodge_ironworks for the forklift operation on extraction, @jrodcustom for offering me an initial engine, @pics_by_damon for the intro to Chris Holstrom without which this wouldn’t have happened either. @vinopazzo for the support on the drive up. Definitely a weekend for the books.

The Rod Knocker made it to Washington State Fairgrounds. NOW follow along the epic journey of swapping a TBI 350 at the @goodguysrodandcustom Pacific Northwest Nationals. Heading out at 5 am in a Uhaul van to grab a motor in Albany, Or. then back the fairgrounds to get to work.
