ITS OUT! “One of Those Things” is track 5 on my debut album, “People ≠ Possessions”. it was such a special moment for me when @seancwatkins (of Nickel Creek & Watkins Family Hour) came into @bellchoirstudios to jam on this tune with us. we sat around in a circle in the lobby/kitchen area after a lunch break as i showed the band the tune for the first time. before i knew it, microphones were being set up and cables run thru the hallway, all the way across the studio into the lobby where (i assumed) we were just rehearsing! it must’ve been the first or second take, and the rawness and spontaneity was captured. truly one of my favorite moments making this record.
later on, @drewtaubenfeld added some tasty pedal steel and @rettmadison & @moishecircus hit those satisfying 3-part harmonies 🤤
applause to David Boucher and @tylerchester for their absolute wizardry and vision 🙌🏻 and Sean’s and Joey’s tasty solos.

full credits next slide :)

Had a very fun week last week shooting a music video for an upcoming song I’ll be releasing called “Nowhere to run”. We drove through Oregon, Washington and BC to get video of me walking around thru big empty spaces and almost got seriously injured a couple times.

We are not done yet and the song is almost complete. Hoping for a release in July.

Now turn your phone off, walk to the nearest body of water and just throw it in there. Just toss it in. If it floats, it’s a witch.
