“Family in its many forms, both blood and soul, both given and chosen—what a special theme for this issue. The stories in this issue are people I have had the pleasure to learn from, be inspired by, and in some cases am lucky enough to call chosen family,” said Emerald Coast magazine publisher @kenzieburleigh. On behalf of the organizing team, thank you.

To every racer, volunteer, sponsor, spectator, photographer, beach crew, trailer driver, city official, restaurant, business, family, friend, and every person who gave their time, energy, or support, you made this year’s Rags to Riches Regatta possible.

We also want to recognize everyone who has been part of this event since its beginnings in 1981. Every family, business, organization, volunteer, and sailor who has carried this tradition forward has helped write the story of Rags to Riches. We’re simply honored to be one chapter in it.

100% community powered.

Seeing this community come together the week before the Fourth of July was something we’ll never forget.

Thank you for believing in this race.

We’ll see you next year 🤙
