Dancers!
Falling into this seasonal time of release, we are harvesting what is meant to be fortified into the bareness of winter. Getting very intentional about our energy; what we're saying no to, what we're saying yes to, and staying true to our core ~ in the intensity of these times, with everything going on all around us, staying with our heart and our deepest truth, and maintaining connection with those who inspire us.

Fusing electronic beats with silky vocals and world instruments, Heather’s hybrid live-electronic DJ sets take people on a journey through genres, focusing on afro house, latin house, organic house, medicine music, bass, and more. Joined by Vir on ethnic strings and guitar, the set is dynamic and alive. Sometimes joined by special guests...

Wild Grace: Embodying Creativity
Creativity is a natural instinct within us all, an inherent universal trait. Let’s celebrate it!

Explore a holistic approach to dance, investigating the experience of embodiment. The Wild Grace approach weaves the elements of time, space, weight, flow with our limitless imaginations to reveal our authentic creative identities. We play at the multidisciplinary intersection of movement, visual imagery, poetry, sound, and music to catalyze unexpected aesthetic experiences.

Joanna is an inspired facilitator of Wild Grace- Embodied Creativity. She is a graduate of the Evans Somatic Dance Institute where she studied a Laban/Bartenieff approach to somatic dance. She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Arizona State University and is the former artistic director of the Wild Grace Dance Theater.

TONIGHT we dance @primalmovesvenice ! 🔥✨

Come spend your Friday night moving, sweating, dancing, connecting, and dropping into something that feels really good.

We’re especially excited to have @heatherchristie.love × @virmccoy taking us through tonight’s Ecstatic Dance journey — weaving original music, live instrumentation, tribal rhythms, deep bass, soulful grooves + global sounds into a dance floor experience that’s meant to be felt in your whole body. 🎶🌀

We’ll warm up and get into our bodies with primal movement, then turn it all the way up for the dance. And when the music winds down, we’ll land together with a restorative sound bath + meditation. 🤍

Come for the movement.

Come for the connection.

And stay awhile — we’re keeping the space open until 11pm with acoustic + chill-out with Paul. 🌙

TOMORROW NIGHT 9/11, we’re back at Primal Moves Venice for our monthly indoor dance! ✨🔥

Just getting back from the playa? This one is for you. 😮‍💨😶‍🌫️

Come shake off the dust, decompress, move the body, and ease back into real life with us. Friday night is a chance to reconnect — with yourself, with community, and with that part of you that just wants to dance. 🌎✨

Join us Friday, September 11th (tomorrow!) for a different kind of Friday night — one built around movement, music, connection, and actually feeling good when you leave.

We’ll warm up and awaken the body with a primal movement session before dropping into an expansive Ecstatic Dance journey with sounds curated by @heatherchristie.love & @virmccoy

Heather brings her signature blend of tribal house, pulsing electronic beats, soulful vocals + live instrumentation, while Vir weaves in the sounds of world instruments from Morocco, Mali, Turkey and beyond. Together, their live-electronic set creates a deep, rhythmic journey through global grooves, hypnotic rhythms, deep bass and organic instrumentation. 🔥🎶

And we’re not stopping when the dance ends…

We’ll land together with a sound bath + meditation, then keep the space open until 11pm with an acoustic + chill-out session with Paul — time to relax, connect, hang out, and ease into your night. ✨

Come for the workout. Stay for the dance. Land with the sound bath.

This Sunday, @heatherchristie.love returns to Dance Hive, joined by multi-instrumentalist @virmccoy for a live-electronic ecstatic dance journey.

Heather is a California-based folktronica singer, producer, DJ, and founder of Möonbabe Records. A dancer herself, she approaches her sets as an unfolding emotional journey, weaving original music and live vocals through downtempo, tribal and tech house, world instrumentation, and spacious ethereal soundscapes.

Alongside her, Vir brings guitar and Turkish cümbüs into the mix, adding another living layer to the music. Together, their decades of musical experience and distinct energies create a rich landscape to move through: rhythmic, expressive, expansive, and alive.

Come as you are. Move without expectation. We’ll meet you on the dance floor.
