It was great to join so many friends to celebrate the 40 year history of the Somos conference in New York!

Each year the conference grows in scale and importance, and it was nice to pause for a moment and look at all that it has accomplished for Latinos across the state. Cheers to the next 400 years of @somos_inc!

I had an amazing time at the @somos_inc reception celebrating its 40th anniversary at @elmuseo Connecting with familiar faces and new ones was the highlight of the night. I’m so excited for the upcoming conference in Puerto Rico this year.❤️

Your idea isn’t that special.

And that’s a good thing.

One of the biggest traps in entrepreneurship is ego convincing us that we need to be the innovator.

That our idea needs to be original.
Our system needs to be original.
Our way needs to be original.

It doesn’t.

I’m watching Chris Koerner on The Diary of a CEO talk about building 80+ businesses, and this lesson hit me:

Stop trying to reinvent what already works.

Find someone who has already paid for the lesson.

Study what works.
Learn the system.
Understand WHY it works.
Apply it.

Then innovate.

That’s one of the greatest advantages of coaching and mentorship.

You don’t have to start from zero.

You get to start with someone else’s experience, mistakes, failures and wisdom and build from there.

Your ego wants originality.

Wisdom wants leverage.

There’s no trophy for learning every lesson the hard way.

Learn first.
Leverage second.
Innovate third.

Where in your life or business is your ego making you reinvent the wheel?

If you know you’re working harder than you should be, but you’re not sure where you need the most leverage, comment LEVERAGE below.

I’ll send you a free assessment to help identify where you’re creating unnecessary resistance and where the right strategy, system, or support could move you forward faster.

Save this as a reminder to stop reinventing the wheel, and share it with someone whose ego might be making the journey harder than it needs to be.

For more than six years, this has been one of the most consistent rhythms in my walk with God.

It’s not a magic formula.

It’s not about saying the perfect prayer.

It’s about creating intentional space to meet with God every week.

This simple framework has helped me move from vague prayers to specific prayers… and from hoping something changes to living in alignment with what I’m asking God to do.

The 4 P’s:

☕ Pause – Create intentional space to meet with God.
🙌 Praise – Thank Him before you ask Him. Gratitude first.
🙏 Pray – Be specific. Clarity changes the way you live.
🚶 Proceed – Live like your prayers matter. Walk in obedience while trusting God with the outcome.

God holds the outcome. You hold the obedience.

If this encouraged you:

📌 Save this so you can come back to it before your next quiet time.

💬 Comment “PAUSE” if you’re committing to spend intentional time with God this week.

📤 Share this with someone who’s trying to strengthen their faith.

What if the valley you’re walking through today is preparing you for the summit you’re meant to lead from tomorrow?

Today, Shannon and Inginia shared their story with incredible honesty.

They opened up about the valleys they faced before finding Project Light:
• Challenges in their marriage
• Infidelity
• Business struggles
• Seasons of uncertainty and pain

But they didn’t stay in the valley.

Today, they’re standing on a new summit—leading a nonprofit that’s impacting thousands of teenagers across the Hudson Valley and proving that our greatest struggles can become our greatest source of purpose.

And here’s the best part…

They’re not finished.

They’re already climbing their next mountain.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your current struggle could become part of your greatest story, this conversation is for you.

🎥 Watch the replay and let us know what resonated most in the comments.

🔥 Then come meet Shannon and Inginia in person as featured panelists at our Project Light Leadership Summit in New Jersey.

Use code CAMINO50 to save $50 on your ticket.

Your next mountain is waiting.
The only question is… are you ready to start climbing?

Tonight was everything. ⚖️

The Latino Judges Association Gala didn’t just fill the room — it filled the spirit. Celebrated with my mentors, reconnected with my judicial community, and was reminded of the incredible power we carry when we show up for each other.

This is what legacy looks like.
