The best sport to ever happen to me.

And with that, the 2025 Cross Country season comes to an end…Goodnight. I love this sport. I appreciate every moment, both good and bad, that this sports brings to me. I love and care about my brothers and sisters beside me that wear the Fitchburg jersey because we’re in it together. That’s the mental attitude I went into D3 Regionals this past weekend and it gave me my 2nd fastest 8k ever with a time of 28:13 (previous best time on the course was 30:00 last year). Going into a big race like that with a positive mental attitude and not worrying about the time and getting to just enjoy the moment around everyone, that is why I love cross country. There is nothing like it.

Oh and major congrats to Paulino for being the first Fitchburg State athlete to win D3 East Regional Championship! I can’t wait to see what you can do at Nationals this weekend!

7/30/2025 - Mt Madison in the White Mountains (9.6 miles total and 5,000 ft of elevation)

Me, Chris, and Sam hiked up Mt Madison yesterday in the White Mountains (5,000 ft). What was normally an 8 hour long round trip hike, we did in 5 hours 20 minutes! Such a blast, and now Chris knows that a 5,000 ft mountain does NOT mean that the total trail is under a mile long 😂

June has been a month with some good and bad moments throughout (⚠️BLOOD⚠️)
The good include moments like helping out at All States at the concession stand, a presentation call with Tay, Sam, Brendan, Chris, and Leaffer, along with the Summer Orientation sessions doing some drumming improv and circle singing, IEATA Conference at Endicott, and most recently the Rutland 4th of July Road Race I ran yesterday.
The only real bad thing that’s happened this month is something that happened very early on and has affected me since. While running on Rutland Rail Trail I got bit by a dog that was not on a leash with its owner, and it got me good (2nd last pic is the initial bite, last is the most recent pic a few days ago), which stopped me from being able to run for a few weeks. It really screwed with my mental health and my mindset (specially since I was on a roll of summer training), and even tho it’s basically fully healed, I still have lasting affects of what had happened that day.
Be safe everyone, and I hope y’all had a great month and continue to have a great summer

Yesterday was Bates where I ran the 1000m and got a 5 SECOND PR OF 2:55!!! I am so thankful and proud that all of the hard work I’ve been putting in despite how mentally and physically difficult this season has been for me, the results have finally started to show!!!

Harvard Crimson Open yesterday! Ran the 3k, was on MASCAC Qualifying pace (10:02/5:20 pace) but then fell off the last 5 laps which kinda sucks but it was a great opportunity to run after everything I went through this indoor season. Whether I compete at meets after MASCAC or not idk, but we will see

Yesterday had 2 big events for me! First, I ran the 1000m at the Wesleyan Invite in CT, ran a time of 3:00 (just missing MASCAC Qualifying time of 2:59.52) with a strained calf so that wasn’t fun but Ik I can get that.
(Track pic creds go to Chris)
