🎬: Ante sundaraniki

Ante Sundaraniki (2022) is a romantic comedy-drama that uses humor to tackle heavy societal issues like interfaith marriage, extreme religious conservatism, and the psychological burden of lies.Director Vivek Athreya designed the film not just as a love story, but as a sharp social commentary on how rigid family traditions can force younger generations into toxic coping mechanisms. The story revolves around Sundar (played by Nani), who comes from a highly orthodox, superstitious Telugu Brahmin family, and Leela Thomas (played by Nazriya Nazim), who belongs to a strict Christian family. Knowing that their families will never accept an interfaith marriage, they concoct a web of extreme lies to convince their parents:
• Sundar lies to his family that Leela is pregnant with his child (knowing his orthodox family would force a quick marriage to avoid shame).
• Leela lies to her family that Sundar is converting to Christianity and that he has fertility issues.
• In a beautifully written emotional climax, Sundar’s mother (played by Rohini) breaks the cycle of orthodoxy. She realizes that the well-being and happiness of her son and Leela matter far more than carrying on the family lineage or adhering to rigid religious rules.
Ante Sundaraniki is ultimately a story about choosing humanity and love over rigid religious dogmas and societal expectations, proving that family bonds should be built on acceptance rather than matching horoscopes or religious labels.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram (transl. Is Saturday not enough?) is a 2024 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film[4] written and directed by Vivek Athreya and produced by D. V. V. Danayya under DVV Entertainment. It stars Nani, S. J. Suryah and Priyanka Mohan, alongside Abhirami Gopikumar, Aditi Balan, P. Sai Kumar, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Murali Sharma and Ajay Ghosh. The film follows Surya, who fights injustices on Saturday and ends up clashing with Daya, a corrupt and sadistic cop. The film was inspired by the basic concept of the novel Sanivaaram Naadi, written by Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy, where the protagonist of the novel commits extrajudicial violence only on Saturdays.

The film was officially announced in October 2023 under the tentative title Nani 31, as it is the actor's 31st film as a lead actor, and the official title was announced a few days later. Principal photography commenced the following month. It was shot in several legs, predominantly in Hyderabad. The music was composed by Jakes Bejoy, while cinematography and editing were handled by Murali G. and Karthika Srinivas. Saripodhaa Sanivaaram released worldwide on 29 August 2024 to generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its performances (especially Nani and Suryah), music, action sequences, and screenplay, but criticised the runtime.

"Veezha Veera" is the high-energy second single from the upcoming Tamil film OM: Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood. Composed, sung, and produced by Sai Abhyankkar with lyrics by Arun Srinivasan, the track also features vocals by Tippu.

Some love stories are not simple… they’re beautifully complicated! ❤️😂

Ante Sundaraniki is a delightful blend of love, lies, family emotions, and Vivek Athreya’s signature storytelling. With Nani’s effortless charm, Nazriya’s infectious energy, and Vivek Sagar’s soulful music, this film reminds us that love sometimes takes the most unexpected routes. ✨🎬
