One year sober today.

Not because I had to drink. Not because I drank every day.
But because when I did… I couldn’t stop.

Alcohol and at times drugs were never just something “fun” for me.
They were an escape. A way to numb feelings, to avoid reality, to silence whatever was going on inside.

For years, while touring as a DJ, it was everywhere.
Drinks, drugs always around, always available. It felt normal. It was the lifestyle.

And every time I crossed that line, it ended the same way, going too far, losing control, pushing until there was nothing left.

I told myself it was normal. A gig. A celebration. Stress.
But deep down I knew that wasn’t the truth.

After 2 months of “being done,” I slipped.
A birthday. A big show to play.
Different moments… same outcome.

And that’s when it hit me:
Why was I still choosing things that took me further away from myself?

So 365 days ago, I made a decision.
No more excuses. No more “just this once.”
I chose water. Clarity. Control. Growth.

When I was younger, golf was a big part of my life.
But in my twenties, I chose the nightlife.
Now, I’ve found my way back and it feels like the circle is complete.

Since then, everything changed.

I found peace in myself.
I got to know who I really am without the noise.
I reconnected with what matters.
Golf came back into my life.
My focus shifted to health, mental strength, and becoming better every single day.

This… is what living feels like.

A new world opened up and I’m never going back.

If you’re questioning your habits, your patterns, your escapes…
Listen to that voice. It’s there for a reason.
