✨ 𝑨𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒏𝒊 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕: 𝑱𝒖𝒍𝒊𝒖𝒔 𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓, 𝑱𝒓. ✨ Meet Julius Blackshear, Jr. — a 2015 graduate of our Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) degree program who is now a drafter/designer at National Grid and a successful entrepreneur. Julius made the most of his time at MVCC. While earning his CAD degree, he expanded his skill set with courses in Civil Engineering Technology — a combination he says was key to launching his career. He also completed business coursework that proved unexpectedly valuable when he launched Visionary Vending in 2020. “Being at MVCC was a blessing because it was affordable, allowed me to stay home, save money, work, and get a good education,” he says. “I’m thankful that MVCC has helped me get to this point in my career and my business.” Read more ➡️ mvcc.edu/stories #MVCCAlumni #MVCCProud #WeAreMVCC A smiling man stands beside an open vending machine stocked with chips, candy, and bottled drinks, holding a cardboard box as if restocking items. He wears a black polo shirt with a vending company logo, and a bright red wall is visible behind him.
