Polly's first ride since we moved to uni, once we've got that left canter stronger I think we can start going out again 🫣🤞🏻 Safe to say She takes her stretching very seriously 🤣💜

Quick trip out to @newboldverdonequestriancentre for an arena hire yesterday 🫶🏻. Didn't plan on jumping high but @visionofyou had other plans 🫣. Can't wait to step up the heights and see where we can go 🤞🏻 #nvec #ottb #thoroughbred #retrainedracehore #exracershowjumper #arenahire #mare #cavaletticollection

Quick turnaround of events to take over to @newboldverdonequestriancentre today. Frozen arena meant cancelled lesson for us so took the opportunity to get her ACE qualifier in. She really made me work for it today 🫣

I can't wait to be back out 🫶🏻 We've got a lesson this weekend which I'm really looking forward to, then will look into getting out again, she's feeling great at the moment but won't do too much too soon. In an ideal world we will get our clears for Aintree (95) and keep going at Discovery too before we step back up to 105. Just need to get her back settled a bit more again, but we will get there 🧡 #ottb #exracer #showjumper #showjumping #thoroughbred #fedonallensndpage #equineamerica #cavaletticollection #shiresequestrianproducts

We are so back! 🤩 Vee flew round the 95 amateur qualifier and discovery today at @solihullridingclub to win the 95 and a 2 just clumsy poles in the disco ( in all fairness the first one was my fault) very pleased with her and glad to have her feeling back to her usual spicy self! Polly went for a trip out to @newboldverdonequestriancentre this morning for her first Jump show back! Really good organisation from me to take her arena eventing when she's never done it before but in true Polly fashion she wasn't phased at all! 🫣 She was a very good ponio just very enthusiastic which did lead to a couple poles in the 60cm and just the flimsy plank in the 70 ( barely touched them tho!) came away with a lovely 2nd in the 60! Unsure about the 70cm as we didn't stay until the end of the class. Very pleased, she's not the easiest to navigate around a course so to get round anyways let alone after a year away. Polly being the superstar that she is in our lesson with @simongrieve ! Really threw her in the deep end for her first jump lesson back as I can't remember the last time she saw more than 2 fences in the same arena but she just took it all in her stride! Really could not be prouder of how far she's came these last few months. Still plenty to work on like straightness and keeping that forward rhythm into fences but that'll come! This reel doesn't even cover everything we did in the lesson, bounces on a curve ( so,etching I don't think I've done with her, skinny poles on a circle too!) Now to get her ready for an exciting trip out this weekend 👀 Kitted out in @charlesowenhelmets hat, @racesafeeq back protector @aviformanimalhealth saddle pad, @shires_equestrian boots and @veredus_horseridingequipment magnetic bands

Polly 🫶🏻 I could ride her on the flat all day long if I had the chance. She's come on leaps and bounds the last few weeks. Been doing a lot on the flat to get her muscled up but switching it up with a lot of different pole exercises to keep her brain occupied, she likes to be busy throughout the ride so we keep them short yet productive without getting her too excited. Canter is still weak but we've only been doing the odd lap on each rein every other ride as she finds it very exciting! She is very hot headed when it comes to being ridden and naturally gets tense when we suggest canter but yesterday she was very chilled and focused even after the poles ( which can really fizz up her up) so we did a few laps and a couple circles each way. So pleased with her! Just need to get out with her again now 💜

Golden girl at W&W this weekend 🧡 It really wasn't our weekend in all fairness, she did jump a lovely round in the derby and then a 105 round that was sticky and not as fluent as we typically are, but I won't go too much into detail. She's home and settled which is the main thing, we will pick ourselves up and go again 🫶🏻 #vivalavega2025 #showjumping #britishshowjumping #bsja #showjumper #ottb #exracer #exracehorse #amazingonaviform #cavaletticollection #shiresequestrian #Equestrian #HorseRiding #Showjumping #HorseOfInstagram #JumpingHorse #Dressage #HunterJumper #HorseSport #EquinePhotography #HorsesOfInstagram #EquestrianStyle #RidingGoals #ClearRound #FEI #EquestrianPassion #thoroughbred #RidersOfInstagram #HorseJumping #retrainingofracehorses

Another trip out to Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex with vee this afternoon. She felt a bit off and sticky for our discovery to begin with so an unusual refusal at fence 2 but she came back round and eventually got into a nice rhythm for just another pole ( completely my fault!!) and some time faults. We then did the 105cm accumulator and came away with a lovely clear for 7th, I just wasn't brave enough to chance the joker fence 🤣 but very pleased with it being her second 105!!
