Some of the exercises I like to use lately:

Straight-arm pulldown: I got it from @cam_mcevoy You need some type of machine, like the Technogym Performance Cable or Kaiser. I can use that at @visionperformancetraining

Sled pull: a concentric-only pulling exercise. It’s one of my favorites.

Hip flexor sit-up: from @vernongriffith4 . Load your hip flexion if you want fast pop-ups. Not with mountain climbers, because there’s no load on those.

Bench press throws: better with a Smith machine, or find a partner so you don’t lose your teeth.

Pull-ups: all year round. GOAT.

Follow for the best training content for surfers.

Doing it to help tackle homelessness in Australia, so if you can spare a few dollars, please donate or join me any day for the next 10 days in the suffering for a good cause 🤘

Last Saturday I took a Hybrid Workshop at @visionperformancetraining

We spoke all things HYROX, how to mentally tackle each station, technique work and racing strategy.

I then put them through a gruelling Hybrid session which they smashed 💪🏻

Well done to all Vision Performance members, was a blast 💥

Until next time 😎

Business is an endurance sport.
Fact.

Did this story this morning about how training in a masterclass with a Hyrox athlete on the weekend correlates to business (just happened to be Australia’s fastest Hyrox champ @jk.james.kelly ⚡️)

The key message for me is the message of endurance: how it’s so strongly correlated with how we have to train for our busiest sprint seasons in business.

Business is an endurance race and you don't get endurance on race day.

It's all the things that you do leading up to the event.

It's all the different exercises that you do that make you fitter, faster, stronger, and more mentally agile to handle whatever race day can throw at you.

That's what we're going through at the moment. Small businesses in Australia are going through race day every day but many of them don't have the foundations or the endurance and they're falling under the pressure.

Other businesses that have had fast wins with AI and quick revenue don't have the foundations to sustain that success and are faced with issues around agentic workflows, staffing, growth, and not even understanding business in the first place because everything came so fast.

These are situations that people find themselves in: nothing left in the tank.

To be a champion you have to think about all the elements that are going to make you the best on the day.

Some days you're not going to win them all but having preparation and consistency, slowing down, doing things at a more considered pace, and doing exercises that all lead up to the game day fit will help you as a business owner be financially, mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared.

This is a new era.

The game has shifted. It's a lot faster. Your foundations matter more than ever.

Comment "bottleneck" or "clarity" if you want some help 🛟 remember, we are a message away. Do not go through things alone. Preparation is the master for success and a community is there in all conditions.
