Just gonna leave this here as a reminder to keep going…and hopefully inspiration for someone else who may be thinking about picking up running…7.5wks ago I couldn’t even run 100yards without gasping for air. 7.5 weeks later and I’m running 5-8 miles consistently on my runs 4x a week. I’m still slow(at least in my mind) — Some days I’m happy running, some days I don’t want to run at all, but keep showing up. Some runs feel good, some runs feel sluggish and almost pitiful…but I’m trying & I’ll keep trying. I started running to clear my mind from the chaos of the world, as it feels like humanity is at its breaking point. To allow myself to just be & push myself to limits I haven’t done in nearly 20years since playing soccer in college. I am falling in love with running. I truly believe the body has endless potential to do things we never imagined for ourselves. I am SO thankful for friends & strangers who inspired me to run! Thank you @auroraillinois 🥰 thank you to the strangers on the street who have said words of encouragement while I jog past on my runs…kindness is really f*%^ing cool - just fyi 🥰♥️ Next step : join one(many) of the LA run clubs!!! The mind & body are such an incredible gift and I don’t want to take mine for granted while it’s able bodied and full of potential for doing amazing things! As I said before, if you’re tired of my running videos…it’s only gonna get worse(or better) from here on out. I’m not nearly as tech savvy or good as @emilyannwillcox but she’s one to follow! Funny af, bass+% & oh, to be in my 20s again♥️
