Hanksville, UT - My trip to Utah is over and this image about sums up my week…a wet one with a lot of driving trying to find dry spots. I did manage to see some of the spots I’ve been hoping to take in for years. Others on the list were washed out and not meant to be. I’ll say this, Utah landscapes are unreal, even when I thought they wouldn’t be. From Capitol Reef red rock and color, to the grays of the badlands, the stark contrasts were incredible.

Welcome to Hanksville 🌙

Finally getting around to posting our maiden voyage with the camper from back in April, and we definitely picked one hell of a place for the first trip.

Moonscape Overlook had been on Colt’s bucket list for over six years, so we loaded up the camper, four-wheeled our way in and finally made it happen.

Mother Nature made us work for it with 40–60 mph winds for most of the trip, but we managed to catch a few breaks in the weather, explore, and shoot some incredible scenery.

Between the drive in, the insane landscape and waking up overlooking what genuinely feels like another planet, Moonscape was absolutely worth the wait.

10/10 recommend adding Hanksville, Utah to your road trip list. We’ll definitely be back. 🌙🏜️
