I’ve recently learned of the features of Instagram + and find them to be abominable so I’m boycotting future story posts in favor of returning to the grid circa 2012 as a project/experiment… slide along to see my thots on 2026 new music :) drop a comment with what you’re rocking with

Pretty Sick is in deed pretty sick… giving a neowitchhouse vibe but on Apple Music it proclaims them as a rock band blending shoegaze with grit and grunge which is furthering my suspicion that no one knows what shoegaze is or sounds like or what a rock band is? There are also small soundings of triphop. Not sure but this is cool nonetheless :)

Fav tracks - Needles and home2hide

Sophia Stel came on my radar earlier this year when I dove into the A24 music rabbit hole as they signed her as their second or third standalone artist behind mark william lewis… I like her hypercandid lyrics and her very lackadaisical vocal delivery makes for a good combination

Fav tracks - Molly in the club and bitches talk shit

I’ve avoided bassvictim like the plague because their name is way too close to bassnectar … your least favorite persons fav music to show you in 2010… so I thought they were going to sound like that but was pleasantly surprised with what I got… Manow has a very distinct voice and the production is a very mature and not lame version of what a lot of others are trying to accomplish in 2025/2026… I also don’t think Manow rapping is as corny as you’d expect

Fav track - sometimes I believe in god

Laraaji the king of ambient is back… let’s gooooooooooooo. It’s beautiful sounds to play around the house when doing chores which I will probably be bumping more this weekend with my wife because it’s chore day on Saturday along side college football

Just wow… this is the best album post Carlos D leaving and it’s not even close. I was surprised with a trip to see them in Vegas in August and it was spiritual. Being the second time I’ve seen them this version of them felt better, cleaner, and I have a sneaking suspicion it’s because the quality of this new music was better than the last. Great setlist but no Take You On A Cruise or Stella… Paul cmon big dog

Fav track - This Mirror

Album of the day n. 1: Visiting Hour - Visiting Hour, 🇺🇸 - A series of gentle soundscapes delve into the unconscious, creating pure enchantment, with soft touches of dream pop and a gentle pop sound that embraces a less intense form of rock. Rich and varied💜💜 #alternative #dreampop
