Saturday morning clips on the way to a hike but just couldn’t get there on time because along the way on Housatonic River Road (in northwest CT) there are so many places to pull over for pics! Particularly where Falls Village meets the little village of Amesville where there’s the view from the red bridge crossing the Housatonic River. 💦❤️ And still framed in fall leaves!

Life on the edge in Litchfield ✨🌲

It did feel a bit like living on the edge driving 50 minutes right from work to meet someone I only knew from online (@newenglandchickadee ). I got dressed into my hiking clothes at school, had my boots in the car and emptied my work backpack on my front seat and replaced it with snacks and hiking gear. :D

After the walk at Black Rock State Park (only .6 miles to get to this view!) I drove through Litchfield and pulled over 3 different times for photos because who can resist a moon rising above the cows!
Whatever work week blues ail you, shaking up the routine with mini adventures is the cure 😍🔥
