Next week we will be back in Helsinki, Finland! That's Maro at Helsinki Central Station! We took the very efficient airport train to the city center. The hotel in the background Scandic Grand Central Helsinki is where we will be staying this time! Maro has stayed there before and says the rooms and breakfast are great!

Advert Kawa Sushi & Hotpot Virum - Last weekend, we were invited to Kawa Sushi & Hotpot in Virum—just a short drive from Lyngby and right near Frilandsmuseet (The Open Air Museum)—to experience their expansive Sushi, Hot Pot & Dessert Ad Libitum concept!

We kicked things off with local Japanese soft drinks while browsing their easy-to-use tablet ordering system, where every dish is pictured. Everything is made to order by trained chefs, ensuring 100% freshness. We started with freshly prepared sushi and yakitori sticks—Maxi enjoyed a Japanese beer while Maro opted for an alcohol-free alternative.

Next up was the interactive Hot Pot experience! We headed to the food counter to fill our bowls with fresh seafood, vegetables, and quality ingredients to cook at the table, paired with our own custom-mixed dipping sauces from over 10 options. Dividing our ingredients between a spicy broth and a mild broth made the meal so cozy and fun. We wrapped up our evening with a sweet bowl of ice cream from their dessert buffet!

Whether you arrive by car or public transport, this spot combines the best of Japanese and Chinese cuisine into a fantastic, social dining experience. Highly recommended for all sushi and hot pot lovers!

There is nothing quite like Copenhagen during the Christmas season! ⛸️

The ice rink is expected to return to Kongens Nytorv for its third consecutive year! While official dates are not yet set, it usually opens in November and runs through late December, allowing you to lace up your skates and glide around Krinsen—framed by the Royal Danish Theatre, Charlottenborg, and Hotel d'Angleterre. Whether you are an expert on the ice or trying it for the very first time, it is the absolute essence of Copenhagen winter coziness.

The rink is typically open every day of the week from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM (usually closed December 24 and 25). Take the Metro directly to Kongens Nytorv St., and step right out into the heart of the winter wonderland! Stay tuned for exact opening dates coming soon.

That’s us—Maxi & Maro, the couple behind @CopenhagenInFocus!
We’re standing on Rådhuspladsen (Copenhagen City Hall Square) right in front of the iconic Dragon Fountain. It was a chilly, sunny late afternoon last week as we were headed to shoot our Halloween in Tivoli Reel. 🎃🍂 If you haven't seen it yet, check it out—it went live last Friday!

FACTS:
- Rådhuspladsen: The current City Hall Square was inaugurated in 1905, taking inspiration from the classic Italian Renaissance piazza style seen in Siena, Italy.
- The Dragon Fountain: Originally designed in 1889, the fountain features a dramatic scene of a bull battling a dragon, symbolizing victory and strength.

TIP:
Rådhuspladsen has its very own Copenhagen Metro Station right on the square! As a handy bonus, there are super clean, supervised, free public toilets located downstairs near the entrance to the Metro.
