“Pokój po końcu świata” / “Room After the End of the World” (polish wordplay: “pokój” means both “room” and “peace”), part of the @visual.mycelium project, created for presentation at the Gala @enjoy___________life Multimedia event on November 29th, 2025, in a secret location.

the piece presents a speculative vision of a space after the disappearance of humans, where mycelium becomes the dominant form of life. at the heart of the project lies the organism’s extraordinary adaptive capacity, based on examples such as Cladosporium sphaerospermum – a species growing on the walls of Reactor No. 4 in Chernobyl and harnessing radiation as an energy source. mycelium is portrayed as a force capable of infiltrating and transforming environments considered hostile to life.

within the dense network of drawn hyphae, subtly embedded symbols and activist messages can be found. they function as the last, silent testimony of Homo sapiens civilization, whose echo now resonates only in the scattered remnants of the post-human world.

pink marks visible in the photos appeared during the event, but were soon claimed and entwined by the mycelial network as well.

i’d love to thank @vvrushca for inviting me to be a part of this amazing event🫰big up @bpdoing @anatol0mg and @gregorrozanski it was so much fun!! ❤️‍🔥🤡🎸🫶

“Sorry But Your Princess is in Another Castle” – part of the @visual.mycelium project (2024)
drawing, raster graphics

this work was submitted for the Selfisz Open Call last year and is a follow-up to an artwork by russian opposition street artist Tima Radia – a neon piece with the same text, created for the Katowice Street Art Festival in my hometown in 2017
originally a wink to Nintendo fans, Radia’s work was installed on the balcony of an abandoned tenement house on Słowackiego Street

slides in this post:
1. the graphic in a 3×4 ratio 🏰
2. 20×30 cm print, framed
3. Tima Radia’s neon in Katowice (2017)
4. my 20×30 cm print on my wall, next to “In The Framework of Cooperation I” and self-portrait by @ten.cza
5. examples of possible (dark) background colors – you can choose any you like for your print
