🎬 STRONG ENOUGH UPDATE THURSDAY

A mother’s love can be limitless. But understanding what each child needs? That’s a different story.

In Strong Enough, we explore the complicated space between protecting our children and preparing them for the world.

Sometimes, the child who needs the most attention isn’t the one asking for it. And sometimes, the child who seems to have it all together needs us to see beyond their accomplishments.

As we continue post-production on Strong Enough, we’re bringing this story of motherhood, family dynamics, and the difficult choices parents face one step closer to the screen.

Because being a strong mother doesn’t mean always knowing what to do. Sometimes, it means being willing to look again.

💜 Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes updates!

Behind the Film: Original Music Score

Every story has a sound.

For Strong Enough, that sound is being created by my husband, Jim Walton, who wrote the original music for the film.

Here’s a little taste of the music behind Strong Enough. 🎶

Still taking in all the love and support from Rooted in Legacy. 💜

On September 20, we launched the Lonce Scott II Legacy Foundation on what would have been my dad’s 51st birthday. Honoring his life surrounded by so much love meant the world to me.

To everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, volunteered, shared a post, or even sent words of encouragement, thank you. To our team and everyone behind the scenes, thank you for pouring your time and heart into making this night possible.

Because of you, we surpassed our $20,000 fundraising goal! Your generosity will help us provide scholarships and mentorship opportunities for young people while carrying my dad’s legacy forward.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has embraced this vision. Thank you for celebrating him with us, believing in the foundation, and being part of this beginning. 💜

Add Event Coordinator + Event Decor to my resume because whew

I am beyond blessed to have coordinated an event that means so much to me. Legacy is defined as anything handed down from the past by an ancestor or predecessor, and being a part of the very first Lonce Scott II Legacy Foundation “Rooted in Legacy” Launch Fundraiser was truly surreal.

From weekly meetings and random phone calls to leading setup and our volunteer team, coordinating the day-of timeline, creating the program book, QR codes, PowerPoint, drink menus, and bringing the decor and vision to life allowed me to tap into a side of me that I knew already existed.

I’ve always loved bringing people together and creating experiences, but this event reminded me that this is something I’m GOOD at.

Being able to help carry on Lonce Scott II’s legacy is an honor I’ll never take for granted. And being able to give back to the Philadelphia community, a community that has given so much to me makes it even more special.
