🎓 Ultraflexible Electronics for Soft Robot Applications This morning, at Politecnico di Bari, we had the honor of hosting a seminar by Prof. Kenjiro Fukuda from Osaka University, invited by Prof. Vito Cacucciolo. 🦾 Can you imagine an electric circuit so thin that it can be tattooed on a human hand? During the seminar, Prof. Fukuda presented his research on materials and fabrication technologies for micrometer-thick, flexible electronics, with applications ranging from soft robotics and solar cells to wearable and biomedical devices. An exceptional opportunity for international scientific exchange, strengthening connections between leading research communities and opening new perspectives for collaboration between our RoboPhysics lab at Politecnico di Bari and Osaka University in Japan. 📢 There is open opportunities for fully-funded research visiting for students and young researchers, funded by a JST-ASPIRE program. @politecnicodibari @kenjiro.fukuda @uosaka_1931 @vito_cacu #RPL #RoboPhysicsLab #PolitecnicoDiBari #OsakaUniversity #SoftRobotics #FlexibleElectronics #Research #Innovation

Sometimes we need to step back from the everyday and look at things from a different perspective to understand who we are and where we want to go. For two days, we left the lab, our robots, and our routines behind and headed toward the Pollino National Park. Two intense days, lived to the fullest: we reflected on the future of our lab, the meaning of science, threw ourselves into the rapids while rafting, and hiked through breathtaking gorges, surrounded by wild nature. An unusual setting for a science lab? Maybe. But that is exactly who we are: unconventional. There, away from our desks and closer to one another, we strengthened our bonds and set concrete goals to shape who we want to be and the impact we aim to have on robotics, science, society. This is our RPL/outing 🏞🦾🌿
