Vito Schnabel Gallery and Tripoli Gallery are pleased to announce 'SUNDAY', a group exhibition featuring Trey Abdella (@mysticfishstick), Katherine Bernhardt (@kbernhardt2014), Katherine Bradford (@kathebradford), Francesco Clemente (@clementestudio), Mary Heilmann (@maryheilmannstudio), Rashid Johnson (@rashidjohnson), Christoph Matthes (@matthesor), Lola Montes (@motherfuture), Robert Nava (@robertnava7), Julian Schnabel (@julianschnabelstudio), Lucy Winton.

'Sunday' brings together works that explore the idea of a day of rest and taking time away from the chaotic world we live in.

Opening July 18, Sunday will be on view at Vito Schnabel Gallery in St. Moritz until August 30, and at Tripoli Gallery in Wainscott through August 18.

An opening reception for the exhibition will be held at Vito Schnabel Gallery in St. Moritz on July 18 from 6-8pm, and at Tripoli Gallery on Sunday, July 20 from 5-7pm.

Opening tonight: Jordy Kerwick at the Old Santa Monica Post Office!

‘Jordan Kerwick: Pink sunsets, cigarettes, 3 regrets and hope to haunt the future’ brings together over thirty new paintings and works on paper, comprising the largest presentation of Kerwick’s work date.

Kerwick’s oeuvre revolves around recurring iconographic elements and identifiable symbols– a striking visual language that deliberately tangles art historical references, ancient iconography, and images inspired by the artist’s domestic life at home with his wife and two young sons. His distinctive visual vocabulary is flattened into deceptively complex compositions, where the illusion of depth has been collapsed and compressed, and hard edges give Kerwick’s figures the aspect of cut-outs.

The exhibition is presented in collaboration with Alexander Dellal.
