In our ground self-defense workshops, we teach the shield—also known as the scoot position—one of the most important techniques in Jiu-Jitsu for real-life protection. 🛡️🤼‍♀️ This movement is essential for learning how to stay safe and control your body when facing threats from a seated position on the ground. 💪✨

✅ This position is essential to:

* Protect the face and vital organs ✋❤️
* Move on the floor space in a stable way ⚖️
* Move quickly & safely toward standing when distance allows ⬆️
* Transition smoothly into other defenses such as the leg guard 🦵
