Every time I meet @vivilerr, it feels like a little world of its own. There are always new moments, familiar stories, and unexpected connections between our memories — one conversation leads to another, until we’re talking about everything and nothing, and somehow end up having one of those deep conversations about life.

This shoot happened spontaneously, in the middle of an ordinary day in Guangzhou. It was quick and easy, squeezed in between other plans, with no big setup or pressure. We just wandered, talked, and took a few photos along the way. I love how these moments find their way into the pictures: the city around us, the unhurried mood, and the feeling of simply being there together.

Every meeting leaves me with something different to remember. This time, it was a few frames in Tianhe, a lovely evening , and another conversation I’m glad we had.

All shots made on 85mm f/1.8 NEO from @ttartisanofficial

Then we stepped outside — and Guangzhou became our movie set.

The afternoon gave us everything: golden light, noisy streets, passing cars, old gates, unexpected corners, and @vivilerr bringing her own kind of sunshine into every frame.

Nothing was staged too perfectly. We simply followed the city, caught little moments between movement and laughter, and turned an ordinary walk into something that felt like a scene from a film.

Maybe that’s why these photographs feel so alive — they carry the warmth of the day, Vivi’s magnetic energy, and the joy of finally creating together after such a long wait.

Some shoots happen on schedule. This one took two years to find its moment.

I met @vivilerr two years ago, and ever since then, we kept saying, “One day, we have to shoot together.” Somehow, that day finally came — completely spontaneous, playful, and full of the kind of energy you simply can’t direct.

No strict plan, no perfect poses. Just two people creating, laughing, experimenting, and letting the moment take over. Vivi brought her spark, confidence, and beautiful chaos — and suddenly, a long-awaited shoot felt like it was happening exactly when it was supposed to.

Two years of waiting, one unforgettable day, and frames that feel truly alive.

Moving to another country changes the way you see the world.

New streets, new faces, new stories. Every person you meet becomes a small part of your journey.

Photography has always been my way of connecting with people. Not just capturing how someone looks, but preserving a feeling, a moment, a story.

Living in Guangzhou, I’ve met people from different backgrounds and cultures. Working with amazing people like @vivilerr reminds me that every portrait is more than just an image — it’s a meeting of two worlds, a shared moment of creativity and trust.

Every photoshoot reminds me that creativity has no borders. A camera can become a bridge between strangers, turning a simple moment into a memory that stays forever.

Captured with 56mm f/1.7 APS-C from @meike_global — a lens with a unique character, soft depth and cinematic rendering that helped bring this story to life.
