"For a debut, 'Etched In' sounds startlingly complete. It is rare for a new band to capture the frantic energy of their live show on record, but Tanzana have managed it without blunting a single edge. The record is ambitious, theatrical, and steeped in a razor-sharp, whimsical personality that refuses to be neatly boxed in. If this EP is just the beginning for Tanzana, then the future is looking absolutely bloody massive." ✍️ @anne__francis ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The debut EP from Glasgow 5-piece @tanzana.band is out now via @sorecordings & @hideousminkrecords Read our full track by track run down on our website now 🔗 📸 @vix.visual

Free is out now!! 🌀❤️ thank you @bobnickntf for popping it on today’s New Tunes Friday! 🖤 this song is the oldest one on the EP - I wrote it at 16 years old when I got my first electric guitar 🎸 Free is about living with trauma and struggling to snap out of a survival mindset. you get so used to having something to run from that it’s hard to believe it’s ever really gone. it can make you feel like you’re living in a weird alternate reality to everyone around you, the only person jumping at shadows, and you start to question what you know. it’s quite a heavy song! it’s emotional to sing, but it’s also my favourite song on the record. which speaking of - comes out in TWO WEEKS!! 🤯 WHICH MEANS IT IS ONLY THREE WEEKS TILL MY FIRST TIME ON STAGE WITH A BAND IN TWO YEARS ✨🎸🥁❤️💥 get your tickets for halloween with @girl_upstairs_music NOW 🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻 performed by me + @callumedwardsmusic @mother.joe92 @vaguee.00 engineered by @callummalcolm_ mixed at @brookwoodrecording mastered at @novasoundstudio cover art @vix.visual

MANCHESTERRRRRRR YOU WERE ALL SO BUZZIN ABOUT US PLAYING WITH @declanwelsh AND THE DECADENT WEST THAT NOW WE’LL BE MAKING OUR MANCHESTER DEBUT WITH THEM AS WELL WE’LL SEE YOU IN THE @deafinstitute ON SEPTEMBER 29th oh and by the way… this is only the tip of the iceberg when we said we had LOADS of stuff packed in for you for the rest of 2026. - could it be more music? - could it be more shows across the country with some of our favourite bands? - could it be more reels shoved in your face to remind you who the best purple-suited glaswegian garage rock band of all time is? - perhaps all of the above? who could possibly know… (the answer is you if you sign up to the mailing list) 24/9 GLASGOW (low tickets) 26/9 EDINBURGH (sold out) 29/9 MANCHESTER get your tickets now. 👁️

the first single from my EP Believe drops next Friday 🤯💜💿⭐️ can’t BELIEVEE I just typed that anyone who knows me knows that this EP has been crawling its way out of the drafts for an eternity, with the oldest song on the record being written almost 8 years ago!!! 🎸✨ there’s lots of reasons it’s taken me so long to get here, a major one being a huge deficit of belief 👀 and confidence in my own work. thanks to the help and encouragement of some wonderful friends, I finally made it happen this year 🦋💿 the title track drops next Friday the 25th and the full EP comes out on the 23rd of October!!!!! 🥹🫣 and I have some super fun shows between now and then! I’m coming to beloved Bloc+ next Wednesday, a rare Edinburgh show next month, and of course my DREADFULLY DELIGHTFUL DOUBLE HEADLINER WITH GIRL UPSTAIRS ON HALLOWEEN 🦇🕸️🎃⭐️ @girl_upstairs_music get your tickets to see me play with a band for the first time in TWO YEARS!! 💥🎸 special thank you to @vix.visual for helping me get my head round the vision for this album way back in January 💿📸 you are an angel
