This year, @vixnde, the artistic project of singer-songwriter Viana Afoumou, returns to @u_questionmark. vixnde incorporates the contradictions of being a female artist in the music industry into her own aesthetic and identity. Her self-defined genre, “raw pop,” combines an imperfect, deconstructed sound with a strong focus on her voice and the raw energy of her live performances.

vixnde will perform at @denijverheid on Saturday, 7 November. Following her solo performance in 2024—a set you can listen to on her SoundCloud (viana afoumou)—she will now be performing with a band.

*spreek iets in na de biep*

Drinnnnng ☎ vixnde’s voicemail is open again! This time, I would like to hear your thoughts on the following question:

In 2126, how will technology (dis)connect us to and from each other and the world?

Your input will be a part of the collaboration between Le Téléphone Rose and Metropolis Festival, exploring themes of technology, art and the future. On October 24th, you can listen live to the radio show at Arenberg 🎧

To reply, check the link in bio and send a voice message. You can also send a written message to voicemail@vixnde.com or simply reply in person during the live show!

Good music deserves more than a stage. It deserves a sustainable future 🌱

At Equalize the Ecosystem, we’re bringing conversations about Rotterdam’s music scene to life through music, knowledge and live performances.

🎶 Vixnde takes the stage after our first panel, while Michline Plukker & Rajiv Daryanani close the programme with a live performance. Three Rotterdam-based artists bringing their sounds and perspectives into the conversation.

🎤 Simon de Koning joins us to unpack how Sena supports musicians and producers by collecting and distributing royalties for publicly played music.

Because the future of our music scene isn't just something we talk about. It's something we create together.

Come for the conversations, stay for the music, connections and good vibes.
