All the tenderness, love and care you secretly ache for, wrapped up in a wonderful story.

Pairings - Harry/Draco, Remus/Severus
Era - Hogwarts
Warnings - Depictions of Depression
Site - AO3

The Secret Language of Plants is a truly beautiful account of an alternate universe where Harry is taken away from the Dursleys and raised by, you guessed it - the two men on the cover.

Though the premise isn’t unique, the path the story takes definitely is. It’s wholesome, sweet and leaves you with a warm feeling inside. The story does have its dark and difficult bits, but you will be entranced by the journey the characters take as they overcome whatever life throws at them. I also love that each character is a captivating ingredient of this delightful dish with their own moment to shine and their own journey.

As you read, it feels like a loved one is sharing a beloved tale with you with whimsy, humour, nostalgia and their own touch of magic peppered throughout the telling. The comedy is top tier, leveraging circumstances and irony to add levity, creating situations that leave you on the edge of your seat but also laughing in incredulity.
With that, I’ll leave you to explore this beautiful story on your own.

Author’s Summary: “Just… tell me. Tell me what is going on, Snape.”
What was going on was that Severus Snape had no trouble tracking down one Petunia Evans, now Dursley, to a little town in Surrey where he saw how exactly she was treating her nephew. Which somehow led to last night and Severus knocking on Lupin’s door with a toddler half-asleep in his arms.

P.S. These 2 book covers were designed by yours truly although credit for the beautiful illustrations of Harry, Lupin and Snape goes to the unbelievably talented @vlad.pan I found his works online and I was blown away by the level of detail and love clearly there in each of his works. Thank you @vlad.pan

Also please check out the second slide and tell me which cover you like better.

It’s good ol’ wrap-up time, and I’m trying something new! I’ve wanted to incorporate more into my wrap-ups than just books. I’m still trying to find my footing with some changes in my life, but once everything is settled I’m hoping to add some crafting into the mix (I miss knitting and embroidery 😭). I also just don’t watch many tv shows or movies these days, since my husband and I watch them together. But I’m hoping to change that, too haha. I hope everyone is having a wonderful New Years week, and I’ll see y’all in 2026. ✨

Note: The art I used for “I, Medusa” is technically not fanart, but it is the closest art I could find that was the most similar to the MC, Medusa.

✨ first time for a 3 piece bradel bind with a graphic cover and toner activated foil 🧚🏼‍♀️ NOW this almost drove me insane, the amount of reprints and failures with lamination and the foil 😫 but i got there in the end with only like 4 mental breakdowns over it!

🧚🏼‍♀️ art for philosopher stone, prisoner of azkaban, order of the phoenix, and half-blood prince and deathly hallows @vlad.pan

🧜🏻‍♀️ art for chamber of secrets, goblet of fire were found on pinterest and i couldn’t find the artist 🥲 scroll to the end for a blooper from astrid 🤦🏼‍♀️😹

You know that feeling when a book completely takes over your life? These are the ones that did that for me. I’d love to wipe my memory and dive back in fresh.

💡Spotlight auf die Fan-Artists! 💡
Also echte Fanart von echten Menschen.
