Brunch with the girls at @publicrecordsnyc this weekend 👯‍♀️💖

We were in desperate need of a brunch catchup sesh, and used @vlocator to help us pick the spot 💚

It was our first time there - loved the vibes and the fried oyster mushroom sandwich was def our fav thing that we tried! And that's coming from someone who doesn't usually like mushrooms 🍄‍🟫

Their seasonal mimosa was hibsiscus 🌺 which was so yummy!

If you still think vegans only eat salads… this video is for YOU 🔥🌱

Vegan oxtails with the pull, texture, and even the “skin” made from rice paper is actually insane. Huge shoutout to @sunnispeaksvegan for creating this masterpiece and @healthyasamotha for putting their own spin on it!

This is bigger than just vegan food. It’s creativity. It’s culture. It’s showing people that plant-based food can still bring comfort, flavor, and nostalgia while using cleaner ingredients.

Vegans aren’t just making food for vegans anymore… we’re helping shape the future of food for everybody.

And if THIS is the future? Yeahhhh the future looking real bright 🔥🌱

This is a really humbling moment 😩
Today, I sat down for my very first radio interview ever… and it happened in Johannesburg, South Africa at @metrofmsa On international radio. And I’m still trying to wrap my head around that.

I’m deeply grateful to the vegan chef for seeing me, believing in me, and making the connection that led to this interview. Moments like this remind me that alignment doesn’t always look loud — sometimes it looks like quiet yeses stacking on top of each other over time.

People ask me all the time how I get certain opportunities. How I end up in rooms, or kitchens, or countries that feel “out of reach” to other people. And the honest answer is simple, but not easy:

I’m not afraid to hear no.

Most people never get rejected by others — they reject themselves first. They talk themselves out of asking. They decide the answer is no before the question ever leaves their mouth. And I just don’t live like that.

Because if someone tells you no, you’re in the exact same position you were already in. Nothing is taken from you. But if they say yes? Your entire life can change.

Three years ago, I walked into a restaurant and asked for exactly what I wanted. No guarantees. No connections. Just a belief in my work and a willingness to be uncomfortable. If I hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t be here. I wouldn’t have an international partnership. I wouldn’t have been sitting in a radio studio today telling this story.

And I keep thinking about this question:
What if the best possible outcome is on the other side of the question you’re too afraid to ask?

Not “what if you fall.”
But what if you fly?

This moment feels bigger than me. It feels like confirmation. It feels like a whisper saying, “You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.” And maybe — just maybe — it’s a sign I should stay in South Africa a little longer.

If this video resonates with you, let it be permission.
Permission to ask.
Permission to try.
Permission to stop telling yourself no.

Because you miss 100% of the shots you never take — but the ones you do take? They can take you all the way around the world.
