My baby 🥺 @natalialodeserto committed to play Division I soccer at VMI — @vmiwsoccer! As a former @usagym Level 6 gymnast, Natalia developed an incredible foundation of athleticism, discipline, focus, and work ethic from a very young age- qualities that would later serve her well as a goalkeeper. Her soccer journey began in September 2023, and what she has accomplished in just 3 years is remarkable. Through an enormous amount of hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and faith, she has earned a Division I athletic scholarship as a goalkeeper! 🧤⚽️

To put this accomplishment into perspective, nearly 400,000 girls play high school soccer nationwide, and ~2% go on to play Division I. With small rosters and most programs carrying only about 3 goalkeepers, these opportunities are incredibly rare.

We are so proud of her. We have watched her work tirelessly, overcome setbacks, and refuse to give up. Our entire family could not be prouder, and we cannot wait to see what God has planned for her at VMI! We love you Natalia

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”Colossians 3:23 ❤️

I am incredibly grateful and blessed to announce my verbal commitment to play Division I soccer and further my education at Virginia Military Institute!

First and foremost, I give all glory to God for being my Way Maker and for His many blessings throughout this journey. I want to thank my family because I truly could not have done this without them.

Thank you to my coaches at Wake FC: Coach Roman, Coach Ryan, and Coach TK. I would also like to thank my high school coach, Coach Bobby, for inspiring me to dream big, Coach Nelson for always encouraging me, and Coach Nikki for starting me on my goalkeeping journey. Thank you to my Fayetteville Christian School Family for your prayers and support.

Finally, thank you to Coach Jim Robbins and Coach Makayla for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity.
