Sometimes, the things we resist the most end up revealing versions of ourselves we never expected to love.

And honestly? I hate wearing sarees. I hate the whole process—the draping, the pleats, the pins, and constantly making sure everything is still in place.

And yet, somehow, some of the most beautiful versions of me have been captured in six yards of something I swore I never liked.

Maybe that is how some things work.
You can desperately want to get out of something and still find yourself holding on—not because you are afraid of the emptiness it puts you into, but because leaving something you once knew so well isn't always as easy as wanting to leave.

So yes, call me a hypocrite. I still hate wearing sarees.
