Nearly 10 years ago, somewhere between casting by day and making gelato by night, unexpected reactions took on a life of their own. I never imagined those late-night batches would one day become Uomo — an accidental passion turned LA original.

That new pickup home is Picnic Hollywood, in the heart of Melrose Hill — one of LA’s most in-the-know pockets, just beyond Larchmont and sharing a neighborhood with the kind of neighbors we always hoped to have: Goop Kitchen, Little Fish, Bar Etoile and Osteria La Buca.

Come by 615 N Western Ave anytime from 9:30am–12:30am, 7 nights a week and grab your pints on the fly. 🍨

1990’s High school nights turned into decades of friendship, adventures together, lives on two different coasts — and we’ve only just gotten started!

A month into selling gelato together, inspired by the memories of our Midwest youth. Who saw that coming? Oh right, @vogelks who might be behind the camera but brought us all together on this one!

My mom always told me to trust the journey. I’m so glad I did.
